What is the difference between AI memory and my own notes?
AI memory is inferred: the model watched your chats and saved its own summaries inside its product. Your own notes are authored: you chose the words. A context layer makes your notes machine-readable, so every AI you connect reads what you wrote instead of what it guessed.
Can I control what AI knows about me?
Inside each product, only partly: you can delete some memory entries, but the model keeps inferring. Structurally, yes: hold your context one layer out, in a place you own. Writes land as suggestions you approve, and you can revoke a tool's access at any time.
Does composed context replace ChatGPT's or Claude's memory?
